Are you planning a trip and wondering how to dress for Japan in October? During my autumn adventure, I discovered the perfect outfits to balance style and comfort while adapting to Japan’s unpredictable weather. In this post, I’ll share what I wore, packing tips, and advice to help you plan your wardrobe for an unforgettable trip to Japan in October.
For the airport and a day of exploring, comfort was my top priority without sacrificing style. There was no time to waste, so as soon as we landed we were out exploring. I wore a pair of adidas track pants with a simple black long sleeve and my oversized leather jacket (which you will see a lot throughout this post). Not pictured are my trusty converse that got me through the two weeks and my crossbody bag kept my essentials handy
Packing for a trip is always tricky. You want to pack items that can easily be mixed and matched to create new outfits. Similar to the previous outfit, these 3 outfits uses the same black long sleeve, leather jacket, and converse. However, the pants have been switched to either a comfy cargo or a baggy pair of jeans to create a whole new outfit.
Packing for Japan in October can be tricky. The weather can be very unpredictable so make sure to pack for all scenarios. For a warm day, a cute jean dress is a stylish alternative for a comfy outfit. Styled with a pair of chelsea boots makes this outfit transition perfect from summer to fall.
When deciding how to dress for Japan in October, I knew I wanted to have an elevated but comfortable style and to me that screams long dresses and skirts. Using the same boots, purse and jacket, I wore a midi satin skirt paired with a cropped black sweater for the perfect elevated, casual outfit.
I love packing dresses for trips because it eliminates so much indecision. Its just one item and boom, outfit complete. For this trip I packed two long black dresses. I have a lighter one and a thicker one, and a grey sweater dress. All three dresses can be mixed and matched with the same jacket, converse or boots that we wore in the previous outfits.
Lastly we have a night time outfit. I wore a mini black skort and paired it with a chunky sweater, boots and my leather jacket. This created the perfect cute but comfy dinner outfit. You could also easily switch out the top to create an outfit if you were going out to experience the night life Japan has to offer.
As you can see, when it comes to packing for a trip to Japan, there are certain items that you can pack that can be used throughout several outfits which can eliminate overpacking.
I hope you got some style inspiration from my outfits and have helped you determine how to dress for Japan in October.
